Elaine Galinson

Elaine Galinson is the Chair of the San Diego Jewish Women’s Foundation. She also serves on The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee National Board, the San Diego Jewish Community Foundation Board’s Executive Committee, and the District Attorney’s Women’s Advisory Council.

Elaine received her bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Minnesota. She was elected to the Board of Trustees in 1997, and serves on the Chancellor's Executive Advisory Cabinet for the Campaign for UC San Diego. Elaine and her late husband Murray have been involved in and contributed to many areas across the UC San Diego campus, including a lifetime membership in Chancellor’s Associates.
