James Ong, MD '89

Founder, President and Medical Director, Heart Rhythm Specialists of Southern California

James Ong, MD '89

James is the Founder, President and Medical Director of Heart Rhythm Specialists of Southern California, and is a published author of nonfiction and several scientific papers. He practices Cardiac Electrophysiology in the suburb of Los Angeles, where he raises his family. 

James received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, and his MD from UC San Diego School of Medicine. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2020, and serves on the Los Angeles Regional Cabinet for the Campaign for UC San Diego.
