Leo Spiegel ’83

Leo Spiegel is a serial startup founder, executive and investor, having worked with more than 60 companies with 30 exits. He is currently managing partner of Spiegel Capital Management, investing in and advising promising start-up companies. He is past chair of the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego and joined the Leichtag Foundation Board in 2021. As Chair, Leo serves on the Executive Committee of the Foundation Board. He also serves on the Chancellor's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council, the Chancellor's Real Estate Advisory Council, the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Rady School of Management and The Basement Executive Board. Previously, he was a member of the International Leadership Committee for the Campaign for UC San Diego and was named a UC San Diego True Triton in 2020.

Leo received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UC San Diego in 1983.
