Shelley O'Connor '83

Shelley S. O’Connor is a Morgan Stanley Senior Advisor focused on women’s leadership. She previously held multiple senior leadership roles at the Firm, including nine years on the Operating Committee.

The majority of her 38-year career was in Wealth Management where she rose to Co-Head of the business, helping drive expansion and modernization. Prior roles include Chairman and CEO of the Firm’s U.S. Banks, including Morgan Stanley Private Bank which she built out from inception, and Vice Chairman of External Affairs.

She served on multiple securities industry and women’s leadership Boards. She earned a BA from The University of California, San Diego.
