Antonio Grillo-Lopez

Antonio attended the University of Puerto Rico and worked at the University of Puerto Rico Hospital in San Juan and the San Juan VA, where he started their Oncology service. In 1980, he and his family left the island for the University of Michigan and pharmaceutical company Parke Davis, where Antonio had a joint appointment doing research. Their next move took them to Delaware and Switzerland with DuPont Merck Pharmaceuticals (now Biogen), where Antonio served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior VP, Medical and Regulatory Affairs.

Now retired, he and his wife have made a second career of giving generously to support scholarships, endowments, and research across the United States. Antonio serves on the Preuss School Board of Directors and the Moore's Cancer Center Board. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2020, and serves on the Donor Relations and Stewardship Committee.
