Deborah Bronston-Culp '80

Deborah Bronston-Culp is Managing Partner and co-founder of Samothrace Partners, which invests in early-stage companies with a diverse management team. Previously, Deb was COO and CFO of Declare, a premier platform that helps companies attract and retain diverse teams through executive placement, while offering leadership development programs and networking forums to women.  

Previously, Deb had a two-decade career on Wall Street as a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and Deputy Director of North American Equity Research, the Director of U.S. Equity Research at NatWest Securities and held multiple executive positions at Prudential Securities including Associate Director of Global Equity Research, Director of Analytical Training and as the top-ranked textile and apparel analyst.

Deb received her bachelor’s degree in economics from UC San Diego and her C.F.A. from the University of Virginia. She was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2012, and serves as Chair of the Investment/Finance Committee. She also serves as New York Regional Cabinet Chair for the Campaign for UC San Diego and is a member of the Chancellor's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council.
