Phyllis Epstein

Phyllis Epstein has been involved at UC San Diego for over 25 years. She is a dedicated supporter of the university’s ArtPower program and the School of Global Policy and Strategy, and is actively engaged in Chancellor’s Associates and Town & Gown. Epstein co-founded the California Music Project, designed to strengthen music education and increase the number of music educators across the state, and serves on the board of the San Diego Symphony.

She was first elected to the Board of Trustees in 2011, and is chair of the Donor Relations and Stewardship Committee. She also serves on the Chancellor's Executive Advisory Cabinet for the Campaign for UC San Diego and the Arts and Humanities Dean's Advisory Council. 

Phyllis received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from UCLA.
