Jerrilyn T. Malana '86

Jerri Malana serves as a Chief Deputy/Special Advisor with the San Diego County District Attorney’s (DA) Office where she advises on human resources matters and civil litigation issues. Prior to joining the DA’s Office, Jerri spent over 16 years as an employment law attorney and shareholder with Littler Mendelson. 

She was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2014, and serves on the Student Foundation Committee and the Trustee Recruitment and Engagement Committee. She also is a member of the UC San Diego Asian Pacific-Islander Alumni Council. She previously served as President of the Alumni Board of Directors and was a member of the Legal Professionals Network at UC San Diego, an organization that she helped to create.

Jerri received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC San Diego, her master’s in business administration from Chaminade University and her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law.
